Hadith 947
947 - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْفَتْحِ، مَنْصُورُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْأَنْمَاطِيُّ، أبنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ رَشِيقٍ، أبنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ مُوسَى الْعَكِّيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَوْحٍ الْقَتِيرِيُّ، ثنا خَالِدُ بْنُ نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ خَيْثَمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: «لَا تُرْضِيَنَّ أَحَدًا بِسَخَطِ اللَّهِ، وَلَا تَحْمَدَنَّ أَحَدًا عَلَى فَضْلِ اللَّهِ، وَلَا تَذُمَّنَّ أَحَدًا عَلَى مَا لَمْ يُؤْتِكَ اللَّهُ، فَإِنَّ رِزْقَ اللَّهِ لَا يَسُوقُهُ حِرْصُ حَرِيصٍ، وَلَا يَرُدُّهُ عَنْكَ كَرَاهَةُ كَارِهٍ» كَذَا فِي الْأَصْلِ: خَالِدُ بْنُ نَجِيحٍ، وَهَذَا إِنَّمَا يُرْوَى عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ الْعُمَرِيِّ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ الثَّوْرِيِّ
Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said: "Never seek to please anyone by incurring Allah's displeasure; never praise anyone for what Allah has bestowed upon you; and never blame anyone for what Allah has not given you, because no one's greed can bring Allah's provision to you, nor can anyone's ill will prevent it from reaching you." In the chain of narration, Khalid bin Najeeh is mentioned in this way, although in reality this hadith is narrated through the chain of Khalid bin Yazid al-‘Umari from Sufyan al-Thawri.
