Hadith 946
946 - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ، تُرَابُ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْكَاتِبُ، أبنا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمَعْرُوفُ بِابْنِ الْمُفَسِّرِ، أبنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ، ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَأَبُو، خَيْثَمَةَ قَالَا: أنا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ، قَالَ: خَطَبَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ النَّاسَ بِالْجَابِيَةِ فَقَالَ: إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَامَ فِي مِثْلِ مَقَامِي فَقَالَ: «لَا يَخْلُوَنَّ رَجُلٌ بِامْرَأَةٍ فَإِنَّ ثَالَثُهُمَا الشَّيْطَانُ»
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) addressed the people at the place of Jabiyah and said: Indeed, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) stood in this manner and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No man should be alone with a woman, for the third among them is the devil."
