Hadith 859
859 - أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ، أبنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ الْأَشْعَثَ، قَالَ: ثنا بَعْضُ أَصْحَابِنَا، قَالَ: ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ التَّرْجُمَانِيُّ، ثنا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ مَنْظُورٍ، عَنْ عَطَّافِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَا يُغْنِي حَذَرٌ مِنْ قَدَرٍ، وَالدُّعَاءُ يَنْفَعُ مِمَّا نَزَلَ وَمِمَّا لَمْ يَنْزِلْ، وَإِنَّ الْبَلَاءَ يَنْزِلُ فَيَلْقَاهُ الدُّعَاءُ فَيَعْتَلِجَانِ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ»
Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Caution cannot save from destiny, and supplication is beneficial for calamity that has already descended and that which has not yet descended. Indeed, when calamity descends, supplication confronts it, and they wrestle with each other until the Day of Resurrection."
Hadith 860
860 - وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ، مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ الْكَاتِبُ، أبنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْأَشْعَثَ، أبنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْقَلُوسِيُّ، وَيَزِيدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ، قَالَا: ثنا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ مَرْوَانَ الضَّرِيرِ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَا يُنْجِي حَذَرٌ مِنْ قَدَرٍ، وَإِنْ كَانَ شَيْءٌ يَقْطَعُ الرِّزْقَ فَإِنَّ التَّصَيُّحَ يَقْطَعُهُ، وَإِنَّ الدُّعَاءَ يَنْفَعُ مِنَ الْبَلَاءِ» وَقَدْ قَالَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى فِي كِتَابِهِ {إِلَّا قَوْمَ يُونُسَ لَمَّا آمَنُوا كَشَفْنَا عَنْهُمْ عَذَابَ الْخِزْيِ} [يونس: 98] قَالَ: «لَمَّا دَعَوْا» اللَّفْظُ لِيَعْقُوبَ
Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Caution cannot save from destiny, and if anything could prevent sustenance, it would be weeping and wailing that could prevent it, and indeed supplication benefits against calamity." Indeed, Allah has said in His Book: «سوائے قوم یونس کے کہ جب وہ ایمان لائے تو ہم نے رسوائی کا عذاب ان سے دور کر دیا» "(That is), when they supplicated." These are the words of the narrator Yaqub bin Ishaq.
Hadith 861
861 - وأنا هِبَةُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْخَوْلَانِيُّ، نا ابْنُ بُنْدَارٍ، نا مَكْحُولٌ، نا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الرَّهَاوِيُّ، نا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ الْحَجَبِيُّ، وَعَبَّادُ بْنُ مُوسَى، قَالَا: نا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ مَنْظُورٍ، عَنْ عَطَّافِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَا يَنْفَعُ حَذَرٌ مِنْ قَدَرٍ، وَالدُّعَاءُ يَنْفَعُ مِنَ الْقَدَرِ، وَإِنَّ الدُّعَاءَ لَيَتَلَقَّى الْبَلَاءَ فَيَعْتَلِجَانِ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ»
Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Caution cannot save from destiny, and supplication is beneficial for what has been decreed, and indeed supplication confronts calamity, and they wrestle with each other until the Day of Resurrection."
Hadith 862
862 - وأنا أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْأُدْفُوِيُّ، أنا أَبُو الطَّيِّبِ، أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الْجُرَيْرِيُّ، نا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ الطَّبَرِيُّ، نا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، نا قُرْدُوسُ الْأَشْعَرِيُّ، نا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ مَكْحُولٍ، وَشَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ، عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَنْ يَنْفَعَ حَذَرٌ مِنْ قَدَرٍ، وَلَكِنَّ الدُّعَاءَ لَيَنْفَعُ مِمَّا نَزَلَ وَمِمَّا لَمْ يَنْزِلْ، فَعَلَيْكُمْ عِبَادَ اللَّهِ بِالدُّعَاءِ»
Sayyiduna Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Caution cannot save from destiny, but supplication is beneficial for calamity that has already descended and that which has not yet descended. Therefore, O servants of Allah! Hold fast to supplication."
