مَا امْتَلَأَتْ دَارٌ حَبَرَةً إِلَّا امْتَلَأَتْ عِبْرَةً
No house is filled with joy except it is filled with sorrow
Hadith 803
803 - أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، بِمَكَّةَ، أبنا زَاهِرُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الْفَقِيهُ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ، ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ، أبنا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، أبنا عِكْرِمَةُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ مَا امْتَلَأَتْ دَارٌ حَبَرَةً إِلَّا امْتَلَأَتْ عِبْرَةً، وَمَا كَانَ فَرْحَةٌ إِلَّا تَبِعَتْهَا تَرْحَةٌ»
It is narrated from Yahya bin Abi Kathir that indeed the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "By Him in Whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, the house that is filled with joys is surely filled with admonition and advice, and after every joy, sorrow surely comes."
