عَلَيْكُمْ مِنَ الْأَعْمَالِ بِمَا تُطِيقُونَ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَمَلُّ حَتَّى تَمَلُّوا
Do of deeds what you are able, for Allah does not tire until you tire
Hadith 758
758 - أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عُمَرَ الصَّفَّارُ، أبنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ جَامِعٍ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عُمَرَ الْعُمَرِيَّ، عَنِ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «عَلَيْكُمْ مِنَ الْأَعْمَالِ بِمَا تُطِيقُونَ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَمَلُّ حَتَّى تَمَلُّوا، وَإِنَّ أَحَبَّ الْأَعْمَالِ إِلَى اللَّهِ أَدْوَمُهَا وَإِنَّ قَلَّ» وَرَوَاهُ مُسْلِمُ بْنُ الْحَجَّاجِ عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، أبنا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، ثنا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا تَرْفَعُهُ: «خُذُوا مِنَ الْأَعْمَالِ مَا تُطِيقُونَ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَنْ يَمَلَّ حَتَّى تَمَلُّوا»
Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Adhere to those deeds which you are able to do, for Allah does not tire, but you tire. And indeed, the most beloved deeds to Allah are those which are done consistently, even if they are few.” And this hadith has been narrated by Muslim ibn Hajjaj with his chain from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), who reports it as marfu‘: “Adhere to those deeds which you are able to do, for Allah does not tire (of rewarding), but you tire (of performing deeds).”
