Hadith 736
736 - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْمُعَدِّلُ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْخَصِيبِ الْقَاضِي، قَالَ: ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ النُّعْمَانِ، ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ مَرْزُوقٍ، ثنا زَائِدَةُ بْنُ قُدَامَةَ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «انْظُرُوا إِلَى مَنْ هُوَ أَسْفَلَ مِنْكُمْ، وَلَا تَنْظُرُوا إِلَى مَنْ فَوْقَكُمْ فَإِنَّهُ أَجْدَرُ أَنْ لَا تَزْدَرُوا نِعْمَةَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ»
Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said: "Look at those who are below you and do not look at those who are above you, because this is more appropriate so that you do not consider any blessing of Allah upon you as insignificant."
Hadith 737
737 - وَأَنَاهُ أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عُمَرَ التُّجِيبِيُّ، نا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْأَعْرَابِيِّ، نا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ الْعَنْسِيُّ، نا وَكِيعُ بْنُ الْجَرَّاحِ، فَالْأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «انْظُرُوا مَنْ هُوَ أَسْفَلَ مِنْكُمْ، وَلَا تَنْظُرُوا إِلَى مَنْ فَوْقَكُمْ فَهُوَ أَجْدَرُ أَنْ لَا تَزْدَرُوا نِعْمَةَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ»
Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Look at those who are below you and do not look at those who are above you, for this is more appropriate so that you do not consider any of Allah's blessings upon you as insignificant."
