Hadith 734
734 - أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ الْيَمَانِ الْعَسْقَلَانِيُّ، بِالْبَصْرَةَ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ السُّلَمِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ الْعَدَنِيُّ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ , عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " ارْحَمُوا ثَلَاثَةً: غَنِيَّ قَوْمٍ افْتَقَرَ، وَعَزَيزًا ذَلَّ، وَعَالِمًا يَلْعَبُ بِهِ الْحَمْقَى وَالْجُهَّالُ "
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Have mercy on three types of people: a wealthy person of a community who has become poor, a person of honor who has become humiliated, and a scholar with whom foolish and ignorant people are making fun and playing games."
