«اغْتَنِمُوا الدُّعَاءَ عِنْدَ الرِّقَّةِ فَإِنَّهَا رَحْمَةٌ»
Seize the opportunity of supplication at times of tenderness, for it is mercy
Hadith 692
692 - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْمُقْرِئُ الْحَذَّاءُ، أبنا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الْمَعْرُوفُ بِابْنِ الْمُفَسِّرِ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَامِدِ بْنِ السَّرِيِّ، ثنا يَعْقُوبُ الدَّوْرَقِيُّ، ثنا شَبَابَةُ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو غَسَّانَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُطَرِّفٍ الْمَدَنِيُّ , عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، قَالَ: قَرَأَ أَبِي عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَرَقُّوا، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَذَكَرَهُ
Zaid bin Aslam says that my father recited (the Qur'an) before the Prophet (peace be upon him), and those (people) were overcome with emotion. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said... and he narrated this hadith: "Consider the time of being overcome with emotion as an opportunity for supplication, for it is mercy."
