Uncover women and they will stay in their homes
Hadith 689
689 - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْمُعَدِّلُ، أبنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ، ثنا بَكْرُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ، ح وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَاجِّ، ثنا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ الْهَاشِمِيُّ، ثنا بَكْرُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ الدِّمْيَاطِيُّ، ثنا شُعَيْبُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ مُجَمِّعِ بْنِ كَعْبٍ , عَنْ مَسْلَمَةَ بْنِ مُخَلَّدٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ ذَلِكَ. وَفِي رِوَايَةِ الْهَاشِمِيِّ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Muslamah bin Makhlad (may Allah be pleased with him) that indeed the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said this statement. And in Hashimi’s narration, it is that indeed the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said this statement: “Give women sufficient clothing so that they may remain settled in their homes.”
