Hadith 658
658 - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ، مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ الْكَاتِبُ ثنا أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ الْبَغَوِيُّ، قَالَ: قِيلَ لِأَبِي نَصْرٍ التَّمَّارِ وَأَنَا أَسْمَعُ حَدَّثَكَ كَوْثَرُ بْنُ حَكِيمٍ عَنْ مَكْحُولٍ الدِّمَشْقِيِّ وَكَانَ مَوْلَى هُذَيْلٍ، وَكَانَ مِنْ كَابَلَسْتَانَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «تَهَادَوْا بَيْنَكُمْ فَإِنَّ الْهَدِيَّةَ تَذْهَبُ بِالسَّخِيمَةِ» قَالَ أَبُو نَصْرٍ: نَعَمْ
Abu al-Qasim Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Abdul Aziz Baghdawi, may Allah have mercy on him, says that he said to Abu Nasr al-Tammar: While I was listening, did Kawthar bin Hakim narrate to you, on the authority of Mak'hool al-Dimashqi, who was a freed slave of the tribe of Hudhail and was from Kabulistan, that indeed the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Exchange gifts among yourselves, for the gift removes malice." Abu Nasr said: Yes.
