أَسْبِغِ الْوُضُوءَ يَزِدْ فِي عُمُرِكَ، وَسَلِّمْ عَلَى أَهْلِ بَيْتِكَ يَكْثُرْ خَيْرُ بَيْتِكَ
Perfect your ablution and your life will be prolonged; greet your family and the good of your house will increase
Hadith 649
649 - أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ، قَالَ: ثنا الْقَاضِي أَبُو الطَّاهِرِ، مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْبَلْخِيُّ، ثنا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ سُلَيْمٍ، عَنِ الْأَزْوَرِ بْنِ غَالِبٍ، عَنِ التَّيْمِيِّ وَثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «يَا أَنَسُ أَسْبِغِ الْوُضُوءَ يَزِدْ فِي عُمُرِكَ، وَسَلِّمْ عَلَى أَهْلِ بَيْتِكَ يَكْثُرْ خَيْرُ بَيْتِكَ، وَسَلِّمْ عَلَى مِنْ لَقِيَكَ مِنْ أُمَّتِي تَكْثُرْ حَسَنَاتُكَ، وَلَا تَنَمْ إِلَّا وَأَنْتَ طَاهِرٌ فَإِنَّكَ إِنْ مُتَّ مُتَّ شَهِيدًا، وَصَلِّ صَلَاةَ الضُّحَى فَإِنَّهَا صَلَاةُ الْأَوَّابِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِكَ، وَصَلِّ بِاللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ يَحْفَظْكَ الْحَفَظَةُ وَوَقِّرِ الْكَبِيرَ وَارْحَمِ الصَّغِيرَ تَلْقَنِي غَدًا»
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Anas! Perform ablution completely, your life will be increased; greet your family, blessings and goodness in your home will increase; greet every person of my Ummah whom you meet, your good deeds will increase; always sleep in a state of purity, for if you die in that state, you will die as a martyr; perform the Duha prayer, for it is the prayer of those who turned to Allah before you; and pray day and night, the guardian angels will protect you; honor the elders, show mercy to the young, you will meet me tomorrow (on the Day of Judgment)."
