It is as if the truth is obligatory on others, and as if death is written for others, and as if those we bury will soon return to us; we put them in their graves and eat their inheritance as if we will live forever after them. We have forgotten every admonition and feel safe from every calamity. Glad tidings to the one whose own faults occupy him from the faults of others, who spends from wealth earned without sin, keeps company with people of knowledge and wisdom, avoids people of humiliation and sin, is humble in himself, has good character, spends the surplus of his wealth, holds back the surplus of his speech, is content with the Sunnah and does not go beyond it to innovation

Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) delivered a sermon to us while sitting on his camel Jad‘a, and in his sermon he said: "O people!........" and he narrated this hadith.
