Hadiths 601 to 800
تَجِدُونَ مِنْ شَرِّ النَّاسِ ذَا الْوَجْهَيْنِ يَأْتِي هَؤُلَاءِ بِوَجْهٍ وَهَؤُلَاءِ بِوَجْهٍ
You will find the worst of people is the two-faced, who comes to these with one face and to those with another
Hadith 605
605 - أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مَرْزُوقٍ، أبنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ الرَّازِيُّ، ثنا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُوسَى بْنِ رِجَالٍ الْبَزَّازُ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، ثنا ابْنُ أَبِي فُدَيْكٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي نَافِعُ بْنُ أَبِي نُعَيْمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «تَجِدُونَ مِنْ شَرِّ النَّاسِ ذَا الْوَجْهَيْنِ يَأْتِي هَؤُلَاءِ بِوَجْهٍ وَهَؤُلَاءِ بِوَجْهٍ» وَرَوَاهُ مُسْلِمُ بْنُ الْحَجَّاجِ، عَنْ زُهَيْرِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، عَنْ جَرِيرٍ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ. وَفِيهِ: «الَّذِي يَأْتِي هَؤُلَاءِ بِوَجْهٍ وَهَؤُلَاءِ بِوَجْهٍ»
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You will find the worst among people to be the two-faced one, who comes to these with one face and to those with another face." Imam Muslim ibn Hajjaj has also narrated it with his chain from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him), and in it is: "Who comes to these with one face and to those with another face."
Hadith 606
606 - وأنا أَبُو سَعْدٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمَالِينِيُّ نا أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْإِسْمَاعِيلِيُّ نا عِمْرَانُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُوسَى، نا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، نا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «تَجِدُونَ النَّاسَ مَعَادِنَ، وَخِيَارِهِمْ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ خِيَارُهُمْ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ إِذَا فَقِهُوا، وَتَجِدُونَ مِنْ خَيْرِ النَّاسِ فِي هَذَا الشَّأْنِ أَشَدَّهُمْ لَهُ كَرَاهِيَةً حَتَّى يَقَعَ فِيهِ، وَتَجِدُونَ مِنْ شِرَارِ النَّاسِ ذَا الْوَجْهَيْنِ الَّذِي يَأْتِي هَؤُلَاءِ بِوَجْهٍ وَهَؤُلَاءِ بِوَجْهٍ»
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You will find people like mines (of gold and silver); those who were the best in the pre-Islamic period of ignorance will be the best in Islam, provided they gain understanding of the religion. And in the matter of (leadership), you will find the best among you to be the one who dislikes it the most, until he is involved in it. And you will find the worst among you to be the two-faced person, who comes to these people with one face and to those people with another face."
