قَدْ جَفَّ الْقَلَمُ بِمَا أَنْتَ لَاقٍ
The pen has dried regarding what you will encounter
Hadith 603
603 - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عُمَرَ التُّجِيبِيُّ، أبنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ جَامِعٍ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الْوَاسِطِيُّ، ثنا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، ثنا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، أَنَّهُ أَخْبَرَهُمْ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي شَابٌّ أَعْزُبُ، وَأَنَا أَخَافُ الْفِتْنَةَ عَلَى نَفْسِي فَذَرْنِي أَخْتَصِ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «جَفَّ الْقَلَمُ بِمَا أَنْتِ لَاقٍ، فَاخْتَصِ أَوْ ذَرْ»
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I submitted, “O Messenger of Allah! Indeed, I am a young, unmarried man, and I fear the trial of desire for myself. Grant me permission to become castrated.” So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Whatever is to befall you, the pen has already written it and it has dried, so whether you become castrated or refrain (it will not change anything).”
Hadith 604
604 - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عُمَرَ التُّجِيبِيُّ، أبنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمَدَنِيُّ، ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى، ثنا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «قَدْ جَفَّ الْقَلَمُ بِمَا أَنْتَ لَاقٍ»
Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whatever is going to befall you, the Pen has already written it and it has dried."
