Hadith 581
581 - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ رَجَاءٍ الْعَسْقَلَانِيُّ ثنا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْقَيْسَرَانِيُّ ثنا الْخَرَائِطِيُّ، ثنا عُمَرُ بْنُ شَبَّةَ، ثنا سَالِمُ بْنُ نُوحٍ، ثنا يُونُسُ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «رَحِمَ اللَّهُ عَبْدًا قَالَ فَغَنِمَ، أَوْ سَكَتَ فَسَلِمَ»
It is narrated from Hasan al-Basri, may Allah have mercy on him, that indeed the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "May Allah have mercy on the servant who, when he speaks, earns a reward, or when he remains silent, stays in safety."
Hadith 582
582 - وأنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ، يُعْرَفُ بِابْنِ الطَّفَّالِ، أنا الْقَاضِي أَبُو طَاهِرٍ، مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ نا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ، مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدُوسِ بْنِ كَامِلٍ إِمْلَاءً، نا عَبْدُ الْجَبَّارِ بْنُ عَاصِمٍ، نا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ غَزِيَّةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ سَبْرَةَ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَهُ وَهُوَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثَلَاثَ مِرَارٍ: «رَحِمَ اللَّهُ امْرَءًا تَكَلَّمَ فَغَنِمَ، أَوْ سَكَتَ فَسَلِمَ»
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said three times: “May Allah have mercy on the person who, when he speaks, earns a reward, or when he remains silent, stays safe.”
