Hadith 537
537 - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عُمَرَ، أبنا أَبُو الْحَارِثِ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ وَدِيعٍ قَاضِي طَبَرِيَّةَ قَدِمَ عَلَيْنَا، أبنا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ الرَّمْلِيُّ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يُوسُفَ، ثنا أَبُو حَازِمٍ عَبْدُ الْغَفَّارِ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ أَبِي رَوَّادٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَنِ انْتَهَرَ صَاحِبَ بِدْعَةٍ مَلَأَ اللَّهُ قَلْبَهُ أَمْنًا وَإِيمَانًا، وَمَنْ أَهَانَ صَاحِبَ بِدْعَةٍ أَمَّنَهُ اللَّهُ يَوْمَ الْفَزَعِ الْأَكْبَرِ، وَمَنْ أَلَانَ لَهُ وَأَكْرَمَهُ أَوْ لَقِيَهُ بِبِشْرٍ فَقَدِ اسْتَخَفَّ بِمَا أُنْزِلَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ»
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Whoever shuns an innovator, Allah will fill his heart with peace and faith, and whoever humiliates an innovator, Allah will grant him safety on the Day of Great Terror (the Day of Judgment), and whoever shows leniency towards him, honors him, or meets him with a cheerful face, then surely he has belittled the Shari’ah that was revealed to Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him).”
