مَنْ لَعِبَ بِالنَّرْدَشِيرِ فَهُوَ كَمَنْ غَمَسَ يَدَهُ فِي لَحْمِ الْخِنْزِيرِ وَدَمِهِ
Whoever plays backgammon is like one who dips his hand in the flesh and blood of a pig

Hadith 534
534 - أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عُمَرَ الصَّفَّارُ، أبنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ، ثنا سَعْدَانُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ الْمُخَرِّمِيُّ، ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ مَرْثَدٍ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَنْ لَعِبَ بِالنَّرْدَشِيرِ فَهُوَ كَمَنْ غَمَسَ يَدَهُ فِي لَحْمِ الْخِنْزِيرِ وَدَمِهِ»
Sayyiduna Buraidah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever plays Nardashir (backgammon) is like one who has soiled his hand with the flesh and blood of a pig."
Hadith 535
535 - وَأَنَاهُ أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ الْأَنْبَارِيُّ، نا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ رَشِيقٍ، نا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَلَّامٍ، نا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الزَّعْفَرَانِيُّ، نا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الْأَزْرَقُ، نا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ مَرْثَدٍ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَنْ لَعِبَ بِالنَّرْدَشِيرِ فَهُوَ كَمَنْ غَمَسَ يَدَهُ فِي لَحْمِ الْخِنْزِيرِ» وَرَوَاهُ مُسْلِمُ بْنُ الْحَجَّاجِ، عَنْ زُهَيْرِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مَهْدِيٍّ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ بِإِسْنَادِهِ وَقَالَ فِيهِ: فَكَأَنَّمَا صَبَغَ يَدَهُ
Sayyiduna Buraidah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever plays Nardashir (backgammon) is like the one who has soiled his hand with the flesh of a pig." Muslim ibn Hajjaj narrated it through the chain of Zuhair ibn Harb from Abdur Rahman ibn Mahdi from Sufyan (may Allah have mercy on them), and in it he said: «فكانما صبغ يده» (So it is as if he has soiled his hand).
