مَنْ سَأَلَ النَّاسَ أَمْوَالَهُمْ تَكَثُّرًا فَإِنَّمَا هِيَ جَمْرٌ فَلْيَسْتَقِلَّ مِنْهُ أَوْ لِيَسْتَكْثِرْ
Whoever asks people for their wealth to increase his own, it is only fire; let him take little or much

Hadith 525
525 - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عُبَيْدٍ اللَّهِ شُعَيْبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ الْمِنْهَالِ أبنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ الرَّازِيُّ، ثنا مِقْدَامُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الرُّعَيْنِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ الْقَعْقَاعِ، عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَنْ سَأَلَ النَّاسَ أَمْوَالَهُمْ تَكَثُّرًا فَإِنَّمَا هِيَ جَمْرٌ فَلْيَسْتَقِلَّ مِنْهُ أَوْ لِيَسْتَكْثِرْ» رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ، عَنْ أَبِي كُرَيْبٍ، وَوَاصِلِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى قَالَا: نا ابْنُ فُضَيْلِ بِإِسْنَادِهِ مِثْلَهُ
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever asks people for their wealth in order to increase his own wealth, in reality he is asking for a burning coal. Now it is up to him, he may ask for a little or he may ask for more." Muslim narrated it from Abu Kurayb and Wasl bin Abdul A'la (may Allah have mercy on them), they said that Ibn Fudayl (may Allah have mercy on him) narrated to us with his chain, and he narrated the like of it.
