مَنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ وَرَعٌ يَصُدُّهُ عَنْ مَعْصِيَةِ اللَّهِ إِذَا خَلَا لَمْ يَعْبَأِ اللَّهُ بِشَيْءٍ مِنْ عَمَلِهِ
Whoever has no piety to prevent him from disobeying Allah in private, Allah does not care about any of his deeds

Hadith 504
504 - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْفَتْحِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ الْعَطَّارُ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْخُتُلِّيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ هَاشِمٍ السِّمْسَارُ أَبُو بَكْرٍ، ثنا أَبِي، قَالَ: حَدَّثَتْنَا سَعِيدَةُ بِنْتُ حُكَّامَةَ، عَنْ أُمِّهَا، عَنْ أَبِيهَا، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ , عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «مَنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ وَرَعٌ يَصُدُّهُ عَنْ مَعْصِيَةِ اللَّهِ إِذَا خَلَا لَمْ يَعْبَأِ اللَّهُ بِشَيْءٍ مِنْ عَمَلِهِ»
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever does not possess that taqwa (God-consciousness) which can prevent him from disobeying Allah in solitude, then Allah does not care about anything else from his (other) deeds."
