Hadiths 401 to 600
مَنِ الْتَمَسَ رِضَا اللَّهِ بِسَخَطِ النَّاسِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ وَأَرْضَى عَنْهُ النَّاسَ، وَمَنِ الْتَمَسَ رِضَا النَّاسِ بِسَخَطِ اللَّهِ سَخِطَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَأَسْخَطَ عَلَيْهِ النَّاسَ
Whoever seeks Allah's pleasure by angering people, Allah will be pleased with him and make people pleased with him; whoever seeks people's pleasure by angering Allah, Allah will be angry with him and make people angry with him

Hadith 499
499 - أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عُمَرَ، أبنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ جَامِعٍ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا ابْنُ الْأَصْبَهَانِيِّ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمُحَارِبِيُّ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ وَاقِدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَنِ الْتَمَسَ رِضَا اللَّهِ بِسَخَطِ النَّاسِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ وَأَرْضَى عَنْهُ النَّاسَ، وَمَنِ الْتَمَسَ رِضَا النَّاسِ بِسَخَطِ اللَّهِ سَخِطَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَأَسْخَطَ عَلَيْهِ النَّاسَ»
Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever seeks the pleasure of Allah by displeasing the people, Allah will be pleased with him and will make the people pleased with him as well. And whoever seeks the pleasure of the people by displeasing Allah, Allah will be displeased with him and will make the people displeased with him as well."
Hadith 500
500 - أَخْبَرَنَا قَاضِي الْقُضَاةِ أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي الْعَوَّامِ، ثنا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الدِّينَوَرِيُّ بِمَكَّةَ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ الْأَشْعَثَ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الضَّبِّيُّ السَّمَّانُ، قَالَ: ثنا الْمُحَارِبِيُّ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ وَاقِدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ , عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَنِ الْتَمَسَ رِضَا اللَّهِ بِسَخَطِ النَّاسِ أَرْضَاهُ اللَّهُ وَأَرْضَى عَنْهُ النَّاسَ، وَمَنِ الْتَمَسَ رِضَا النَّاسِ بِسَخَطِ اللَّهِ سَخِطَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَأَسْخَطَ عَلَيْهِ النَّاسُ»
Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever seeks the pleasure of Allah by displeasing the people, Allah will be pleased with him and will make the people pleased with him as well. And whoever seeks the pleasure of the people by displeasing Allah, Allah will be displeased with him and will make the people displeased with him as well."
Hadith 501
501 - أنا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الْجَوَالِيقِيُّ، نا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي حُصَيْنٍ، نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، نا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الْجُوزْجَانِيُّ، نا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، نا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ وَاقِدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ , عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «مَنْ أَرْضَى اللَّهَ بِسَخَطِ النَّاسِ كَفَاهُ النَّاسَ، وَمَنْ أَسْخَطَ اللَّهَ بِرِضَا النَّاسِ وَكَلَهُ اللَّهُ إِلَى النَّاسِ»
It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that indeed the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever pleases Allah by displeasing the people, Allah will suffice him, and whoever pleases the people by displeasing Allah, Allah will entrust him to the people."
