مَنْ سَمَّعَ النَّاسَ بِعَمَلِهِ سَمَّعَ اللَّهُ بِهِ سَامِعَ خَلْقِهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَحَقَّرَهُ وَصَغَّرَهُ
Whoever makes people hear of his deeds, Allah will make all creation hear of him on the Day of Judgment and belittle him

Hadith 482
482 - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْمُعَدِّلُ، أنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ جَامِعٍ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ الْفَضْلُ بْنُ دُكَيْنٍ، ثنا الْأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ، قَالَ: كُنَّا جُلُوسًا عِنْدَ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ فَذَكَرُوا الرِّيَاءَ فَقَالَ شَيْخٌ يُكْنَى أَبَا يَزِيدَ , سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَمْرٍو، يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «مَنْ سَمَّعَ النَّاسَ بِعَمَلِهِ سَمَّعَ اللَّهُ بِهِ سَامِعَ خَلْقِهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَحَقَّرَهُ وَصَغَّرَهُ»
Amr bin Murrah, may Allah have mercy on him, says that we were sitting with Abu Ubaidah when people started discussing ostentation. An elder whose kunya was Abu Yazid said: I heard Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr, may Allah be pleased with them both, say that I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: "Whoever shows his deeds to people, Allah will make that deed reach the ears of His creation on the Day of Resurrection and will humiliate and disgrace him."
Hadith 483
483 - أنا هِبَةُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْخَوْلَانِيُّ، نا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ الْمُهَنْدِسِ، نا أَبُو بِشْرٍ الدُّولَابِيُّ، نا يُوسُفُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، نا حَجَّاجُ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ شُعْبَةَ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ، قَالَ: نا رَجُلٌ، فِي بَيْتِ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَمْرٍو، يُحَدِّثُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ، رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَذَكَرَهُ، لَيْسَ فِيهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ
Amr bin Murrah (may Allah have mercy on him) says that a person narrated a hadith to us in the house of Abu Ubaidah, that he heard Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrate a hadith from Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both), who said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, and... he narrated this hadith, but it did not contain the words «يوم القيامة» (on the Day of Resurrection).
