Hadith 451
451 - أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْمُعَدِّلُ، أبنا ابْنُ الْأَعْرَابِيِّ، أنا ابْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا أَبُو عُبَيْدٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِيهِ النَّضْرُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سُوقَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّهُ قَالَ ذَلِكَ فِي خُطْبَتِهِ بِالْجَابِيَةِ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «مَنْ سَرَّهُ أَنْ يَسْكُنَ بُحْبُوحَةَ الْجَنَّةِ فَلْيَلْزَمِ الْجَمَاعَةَ فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ مَعَ الْوَاحِدِ وَهُوَ مَعَ الِاثْنَيْنِ أَبْعَدُ»
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates from Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said this statement at the place of Jabiyah in his sermon, narrating from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever wishes to reside in the center of Paradise should adhere to the congregation, for the devil is with the lone person and is farther from two."
Hadith 452
452 - أنا تُرَابُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، أنا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ بْنُ الْمُفَسِّرِ، أنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْقَاضِي الْمَرْوَزِيُّ، نا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ وَأَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ، نا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ , عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ، قَالَ: خَطَبَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ النَّاسَ بِالْجَابِيَةِ وَذَكَرَ الْخُطْبَةَ الطَّوِيلَةَ وَفِيهَا: «فَمَنْ أَحَبَّ مِنْكُمْ بُحْبُوحَةَ الْجَنَّةِ فَلْيَلْزَمِ الْجَمَاعَةَ» مُخْتَصَرٌ
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with them both) reports that at the place of Jabiyah, Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) delivered a sermon, and he mentioned a lengthy sermon, and in it was also this: "Whoever among you desires the center of Paradise, then he should adhere to the congregation." He mentioned it in a brief manner.
