Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Whoever is given his share of gentleness has certainly been given his share of goodness in this world and the Hereafter, and whoever is deprived of his share of gentleness has certainly been deprived of his share of goodness in this world and the Hereafter.”

Sayyida Umm al-Darda’ (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates from Sayyiduna Abu al-Darda’ (may Allah be pleased with him), who narrates from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said: “Whoever is given his share of gentleness has indeed been given his share of goodness, and whoever is deprived of his share of gentleness has indeed been deprived of his share of goodness.” And he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “The heaviest thing in the scale of a believer is good character. Indeed, Allah Almighty hates the ill-mannered and foul-mouthed person.”

Qasim bin Muhammad (may Allah have mercy on him) says that I heard my paternal aunt, Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), say that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever is granted his share of gentleness has been given his share of goodness in this world and the Hereafter."
