Hadith 422
422 - أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عُمَرَ التُّجِيبِيُّ، أبنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ، ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ الْفَضْلُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ بْنِ يَعْقُوبَ الْقَسْبَانِيُّ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ الْعِجْلِيُّ، يَنْزِلُ بَنِي عَجِلٍ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ، عَنْ زِرٍّ , عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «الْغِنَى الْيَأْسُ مِمَّا فِي أَيْدِي النَّاسِ، وَمَنْ مَشَى مِنْكُمْ إِلَى طَمَعٍ فَلْيَمْشِ رُوَيْدًا»
Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he (peace be upon him) said: “(A servant’s) richness is that he remains hopeless of what is in the hands of people, and whoever among you inclines towards any greed, he should proceed slowly.”
