Hadith 407
407 - أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي سَعْدِ بْنِ سَخْتَوَيْهِ، فِي الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ، ثنا أَزْهَرُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، أبنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ، ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، ثنا مَالِكُ بْنُ مِغْوَلٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا رَبِيعَةَ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَنْ يَشْتَهِ كَرَامَةَ الْآخِرَةِ يَدَعْ زِينَةَ الدُّنْيَا»
Hasan al-Basri (may Allah have mercy on him) says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever desires the honor and greatness of the Hereafter should abandon the adornment of the world."
