Hadith 292
292 - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ الْغَزِّيُّ، ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، ثنا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ خَيْثَمَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ حَيْدَرَةَ الْقُرَشِيُّ، ثنا إِسْحَاقُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَيَّارٍ النَّصِيبِيَّ، ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَاحِدِ الْمَوْصِلِيُّ، عَنْ هُشَيْمٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ مُحَارِبِ بْنِ دِثَارٍ، عَنْ صِلَةَ بْنِ زُفَرٍ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «النَّظْرَةُ سَهْمٌ مِنْ سِهَامِ إِبْلِيسَ، مَنْ تَرَكَهَا خَوْفًا مِنَ اللَّهِ آتَاهُ اللَّهُ إِيمَانًا يَجِدُ حَلَاوَتُهُ فِي قَلْبِهِ»
Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The gaze is one of the arrows from the arrows of Iblis. Whoever abandons it out of fear of Allah, Allah will grant him such faith, the sweetness of which he will feel in his heart."
Hadith 293
293 - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عُمَرَ التُّجِيبِيُّ، أبنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ، يَعْنِي ابْنَ سُلَيْمَانَ، ثنا أَرْطَاةُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ، ثنا هُشَيْمٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ مُحَارِبِ بْنِ دِثَارٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «النَّظْرَةُ سَهْمٌ مَسْمُومٌ مِنْ سِهَامِ الشَّيْطَانِ فَمَنْ تَرَكَهَا مَخَافَتِي أَعْقَبْتُهُ عَلَيْهَا إِيمَانًا يَجِدُ طَعْمَهُ فِي قَلْبِهِ»
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The (lustful) gaze is one of the poisonous arrows of Satan. Whoever abandons it out of fear of Me, I will grant him such faith whose sweetness he will feel in his heart."
