275 - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْجَوَالِيقِيُّ قَدِمَ عَلَيْنَا، ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ الْجُعْفِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حَكِيمٍ وَعُثْمَانُ وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ وَالْحَسَنُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، قَالُوا: ثنا ابْنُ إِدْرِيسَ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ بُرَيْدِ بْنِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْحَوْرَاءِ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِلْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ: مَا حَفِظْتَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ؟، قَالَ: حَفِظْتُ مِنْهُ: «الصِّدْقُ طُمَأْنِينَةٌ وَالْكَذِبُ رِيبَةٌ»
Abu Hurairah says that I asked Sayyiduna Hasan bin Ali (may Allah be pleased with them both): What have you memorized from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)? He said: I have memorized this (hadith) from him: "Truthfulness is tranquility and lying is doubt."
