Hadith 268
268 - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَامِدِ بْنِ مَحْمُودِ بْنِ ثَرْثَالٍ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ بَطْحَاءَ، قَالَ: ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ حَكِيمِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ، ثنا حَسَنُ بْنُ حُسَيْنٍ، ثنا مِنْدَلٌ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَوْضِعُ الصَّلَاةِ مِنَ الدِّينِ كَمَوْضِعِ الرَّأْسِ مِنَ الْجَسَدِ»
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The position of prayer in religion is like the position of the head in the body."
