242 - أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْقَزَّازُ، أبنا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ هُوَ ابْنُ الْأَعْرَابِيِّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ الْجِيزِيُّ، ثنا يُونُسُ، هُوَ ابْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى، ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الرُّعَيْنِيُّ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِابْنِ لَهِيعَةَ: شَيْئًا كُنْتُ أَسْمَعُ عَجَائِزَنَا يَقُلْنَهُ: الرِّفْقُ فِي الْعَيْشِ خَيْرٌ مِنْ بَعْضِ التِّجَارَةِ، فَقَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «الرِّفْقُ فِي الْمَعِيشَةِ خَيْرٌ مِنْ بَعْضِ التِّجَارَةِ»
Hajjaj bin Sulaiman Ru‘eeni says: I said to Ibn Lahi‘ah: Gentleness in livelihood is better than some kinds of trade. This is something I have heard my elderly women say. So he said: Muhammad bin Munkadir narrated to me from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: “Gentleness in livelihood is better than some kinds of trade.”
