240 - أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، أبنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ السَّائِبِ الْبَصْرِيُّ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ الْجَوْهَرِيُّ، ثنا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ يَحْيَى الْمِنْقَرِيُّ، ثنا الْأَصْمَعِيُّ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مَسْعَدَةَ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «الصَّمْتُ حُكْمٌ وَقَلِيلٌ فَاعِلُهُ»
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Silence is wisdom, and those who practice it are very few."
