Hadith 160
160 - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عُمَرَ التُّجِيبِيُّ، أنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ جَامِعٍ السُّكَّرِيُّ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا مُسْلِمٌ، قَالَ: ثنا كَيْسَانُ، مَوْلَى هِشَامٍ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سِيرِينَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «جَاءَكُمْ أَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ هُمْ أَرَقُّ أَفْئِدَةً، الْإِيمَانُ يَمَانٍ، وَالْفِقْهُ يَمَانٍ، وَالْحِكْمَةُ يَمَانِيَةٌ»
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The people of Yemen have come to you; they are very tender-hearted. Faith is that of the people of Yemen, jurisprudence is that of the people of Yemen, and wisdom is also that of the people of Yemen."
Hadith 161
161 - أنا أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ تُرَابُ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ الْكَاتِبُ، ثنا حَمْزَةُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْكِنَانِيُّ، ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمَدِينِيُّ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، ثنا لَيْثٌ، عَنْ جَرِيرِ بْنِ حَازِمٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ السَّخْتِيَانِيِّ وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَوْنٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «الْإِيمَانُ يَمَانٍ، وَالْفِقْهُ يَمَانٍ، وَالْحِكْمَةُ يَمَانِيَةٌ»
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Faith is of the people of Yemen, jurisprudence is of the people of Yemen, and wisdom is also of the people of Yemen."
Hadith 162
162 - وأنا أَبُو ذَرٍّ عَبْدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الْهَرَوِيُّ، بِمَكَّةَ، نا. . . . ثنا الْفَرَبْرِيُّ، نا الْبُخَارِيُّ، نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، نا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ ذَكْوَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «أَتَاكُمْ أَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ» الْحَدِيثُ. وَفِيهِ: «الْإِيمَانُ يَمَانٍ وَالْحِكْمَةُ يَمَانِيَةٌ» مُخْتَصَرٌ
Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said: "The people of Yemen have come to you..." The complete hadith was mentioned, and in it was also: "Faith is of the people of Yemen, and wisdom is also of the people of Yemen." This hadith is concise.
Hadith 163
163 - أنا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُوسَى السِّمْسَارُ، أنا أَبُو زَيْدٍ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، أنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الْفَرَبْرِيُّ، أنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْبُخَارِيُّ، نا مُسَدَّدُ، نا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، حَدَّثَنِي قَيْسٌ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، قَالَ: أَشَارَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِيَدِهِ نَحْوَ الْيَمَنِ فَقَالَ: «الْإِيمَانُ هَا هُنَا» مُخْتَصَرٌ
Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) pointed with his hand towards Yemen and said: "Faith is in that direction." This narration is brief.
