Hadith 41
41 - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْفَتْحِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ الْعَطَّارُ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ قَدِمَ عَلَيْنَا، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْخُتُلِّيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ هَاشِمٍ السِّمْسَارُ أَبُو بَكْرٍ، ثنا أَبِي قَالَ: حَدَّثَتْنَا سَعِيدَةُ بِنْتُ حُكَّامَةَ، عَنْ أُمِّهَا، عَنْ أَبِيهَا، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: «خَشْيَةُ اللَّهِ رَأْسُ كُلِّ حِكْمَةٍ، وَالْوَرَعُ سَيِّدُ الْعَمَلِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The fear of Allah is the root of all wisdom, and piety is the chief of all deeds."
