Sayyiduna Abu Jari Hajimi (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I said, "O Messenger of Allah! We are people of the desert, teach us a deed, perhaps through it Allah Almighty will benefit us." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Never consider any act of goodness to be insignificant."

Brief Explanation
Explanation: “Do not consider any act of goodness insignificant.” In reality, ma‘ruf refers to any deed that is commendable from the perspective of the Shari‘ah. No matter how small or trivial such a deed may appear, one should not abandon it by considering it insignificant. We have heard from some pious servants of Allah that one should never abandon any good deed by regarding it as minor—it is possible that this seemingly minor good deed may become the means of your salvation. Likewise, do not commit any sin by considering it insignificant—it is possible that this seemingly minor sin may become the cause of your punishment.
