Brief Explanation
Benefit: - Allah Almighty says: "O you who believe! Avoid much suspicion, indeed some suspicions are sins. And do not spy, nor backbite one another. Would any of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? You would abhor it. And fear Allah; surely, Allah is the Acceptor of repentance, Most Merciful." (Al-Hujurat: 12)
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar radi Allahu anhu that the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam ascended the pulpit and proclaimed in a loud voice: "O people! Those who have accepted Islam with their tongues while faith has not yet entered their hearts, do not harm the Muslims, nor disgrace them, nor seek out their faults. For whoever seeks out his brother's faults, Allah will pursue his faults, and whomever Allah pursues his faults, He will disgrace him even if he is in the midst of his own house."
