Hadith 908

908 - أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَاجِّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، بِالرَّمْلَةِ، ثنا عَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ الْأَسْفَاطِيُّ، ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي أُوَيْسٍ، عَنْ أَخِيهِ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ سَهْلٍ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَا تَذْهَبُ حَبِيبَتَا عَبْدٍ فَيَصْبِرُ وَيَحْتَسِبُ إِلَّا دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ»
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If a servant loses his two beloved things (his eyes), then remains patient and hopes for reward, he will enter Paradise."

Brief Explanation
Benefit:
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik radi Allahu anhu from the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam that the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said: Allah the Exalted has said: "When I test any of My servants by taking away his two beloved things (i.e., depriving him of his eyes), and then he remains patient over it, I will give him Paradise in exchange for them."
