أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عُمَرَ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ جَامِعٍ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو، وَهُوَ ابْنُ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «الْحَرْبُ خُدْعَةٌ» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ أَخْرَجَهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ عَنْ صَدَقَةَ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that indeed the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "War is (the name of) deception." This hadith is authentic. Bukhari narrated it from Sadaqah bin Fadl.
