897 - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ خَلَفٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ، أبنا عُمَرُ بْنُ حَفْصِ بْنِ شَاهِينَ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ الْعَسْكَرِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عِيَاضِ بْنِ أَبِي طَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَوْحٍ الْقَتِيرِيُّ، وَحْدِي، وَهُوَ وَحْدَهُ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ، وَحْدِي، وَهُوَ وَحْدَهُ، حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ دَرَّاجٍ أَبِي السَّمْحِ، عَنْ أَبِي الْهَيْثَمِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَا يَشْبَعُ عَالِمٌ مِنْ عِلْمٍ حَتَّى يَكُونَ مُنْتَهَاهُ الْجَنَّةَ»
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A scholar is never satiated with knowledge until his end is Paradise."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa‘id radi Allahu anhu that the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said: “The believer is never satiated with hearing goodness until his end is Paradise.” [ترمذي : 2686 ، وسنده حسن]
