894 - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عُمَرَ الصَّفَّارُ، أبنا ابْنُ الْأَعْرَابِيِّ، ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الزَّعْفَرَانِيُّ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ نَافِعِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ جَرِيرٌ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَا يَرْحَمُ اللَّهُ مَنْ لَا يَرْحَمُ النَّاسَ»
Sayyiduna Jarir (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Allah does not show mercy to the one who does not show mercy to people."

Explanation: -
Dealing with Allah’s creation with mercy and kindness is greatly beloved to Allah, to the extent that it applies even to animals and birds (as in the hadith regarding the forgiveness of a sinner due to giving water to a dog). Through this, a person becomes deserving of Allah’s mercy. In this hadith, the mention of human beings is due to their particular distinction; otherwise, showing mercy to animals is also required.
