Brief Explanation
Benefit:
It is narrated from Ikrimah that Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas radi Allahu anhu said: "There is no 'sarurah' in Islam. In the era of ignorance (Jahiliyyah), if a person slapped another person on the face, he would say: 'Indeed, this is sarurah.' Ikrimah was asked: 'What is sarurah?' He said: 'They (the people) used to say that it is the person who, despite having the ability, neither performs Hajj nor Umrah.'" [شرح مشكل الآثار : 1282 ، وسنده حسن]
