842 - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ، عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ الْفَقِيهُ الشَّافِعِيُّ، أبنا هِشَامُ بْنُ أَبِي خَلِيفَةَ، أبنا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ، أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الطَّحَاوِيُّ، ثنا صَالِحُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْحَارِثِ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ، ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْأَزْرَقُ، ثنا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَطَاءٍ، قَالَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ هُوَ ابْنُ أَبِي الْخُوَارِ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «لَا صَرُورَةَ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ» قَالَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ الطَّحَاوِيُّ: «لَمْ نَجِدْ فِي هَذَا الْبَابِ حَدِيثًا مُتَّصِلَ الْإِسْنَادِ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ غَيْرَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that indeed the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "There is no celibacy in Islam." Abu Ja'far Tahawi said: We have not found in this chapter any hadith with a connected chain to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) other than this hadith.
