841 - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمَيْمُونِ النَّصِيبِيُّ، أبنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُظَفَّرِ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ، سَبَلَانَ، ثنا عَبَّادٌ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، ثنا مُغِيرَةُ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ بْنِ التَّوْأَمِ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَا حَلِفَ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ، وَمَا كَانَ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ فَتَمَسَّكُوا بِهِ»
Sayyiduna Qais bin Asim (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There is no (new) covenant or pact in Islam (like those of the Age of Ignorance), and whatever was established in the Age of Ignorance, hold firmly to it."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jubayr bin Mut'im radi Allahu anhu that the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said: "There is no (new) covenant or pact in Islam like that of the Jahiliyyah, and whatever covenant or pact existed in the Jahiliyyah, Islam has only strengthened it." [مسلم : 2530]
