Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Every believer has some sin which he commits from time to time; he does not give it up until he leaves this world. And indeed, the believer has been created very forgetful; when he is reminded (to repent), he remembers."

Indeed, the believer is created as one who is tried, who repents much, and who forgets much. When he is reminded (of repentance), he remembers.” [المعجم الكبير : 11810 ، و سندہ حسن]
