8 - أنا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عُمَرَ الصَّفَّارُ، أبنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ جَامِعٍ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا أَبُو عُمَرَ الْحَوْضِيُّ، ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ كَعْبٍ، عَنْ كَعْبٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَقُولُ: «الْحَرْبُ خُدْعَةٌ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to say: "War is (the name of) deception."
