Brief Explanation
Benefit: It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Dharr radi Allahu anhu, who says that the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said to us: “When any of you becomes angry while standing, he should sit down. If the anger subsides, then fine; otherwise, he should lie down.” [ابوداؤد : 4782 ، وسنده صحيح]
❀ Abu Wa’il al-Qass states: He says that we went to ‘Urwah ibn Muhammad Sa‘di. A man said something to him, which made him angry. He got up and performed ablution (wudu), then returned and narrated that his father had narrated to him from his grandfather ‘Atiyyah that the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said: “Indeed, anger is from Shaytan, and Shaytan was created from fire, and fire is extinguished with water. Therefore, when any of you becomes angry, he should perform ablution (wudu).” [ابوداوو : 4784 ، وسنده حسن]
