710 - أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عُمَرَ الصَّفَّارُ، أبنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ قَالَ: ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَتَّابٍ، ثنا ابْنُ أَبِي سَمِينَةَ، ثنا بَكْرُ بْنُ بَكَّارٍ، ثنا شُعْبَةُ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَذَكَرَهُ
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, and he narrated this hadith: "Seek treatment, for the One who has sent down the disease has also sent down the cure."
Brief Explanation
Benefit: -
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah radi Allahu anhu that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said: “Allah has sent down no disease except that He has also sent down its cure.” [بخاري : 5678]
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Usamah bin Sharik radi Allahu anhu, who says: I was present in the gathering of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam when the Bedouins were asking the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam: “Is there any sin upon us if we do such-and-such action? Is there any sin upon us if we do such-and-such action?” So he said to them: “O servants of Allah! Allah has removed hardship and sin, except that a person violates the honor of his Muslim brother—such a person is sinful.” They asked: “O Messenger of Allah! If we do not use medicine when we are ill, will we be sinful?” He said: “O servants of Allah! Use medicine when you are ill, for Allah, Glorified and Exalted, has not created any disease except that He has also created its cure, except for severe old age.” They asked: “O Messenger of Allah! What is the best thing that Allah the Exalted has granted to His servants?” He sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said: “Good character.” [ابن ماجه : 3436 ، وسند ه صحيح]
