Hadith 657

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) that indeed the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Give gifts to each other, love will be created among you." (The narrator of the hadith, Abu Shanji, said:) «تحابوا» is with the shaddah on the letter "ba", whose root is «حب», and if it is read with lightness, then it will be derived from «محاباة». (Meaning to show partiality)
