648 - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عُمَرَ التُّجِيبِيُّ، أبنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي التَّمَامِ، أبنا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مُوسَى النَّحَّاسُ، ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارِ بْنِ نُصَيْرٍ السُّلَمِيُّ، ثنا الْوَلِيدُ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «اسْمَحْ يُسْمَحْ لَكَ»
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Show gentleness, gentleness will be shown to you."
Brief Explanation
In this hadith, the command to show mercy and gentleness has been given: have mercy upon the creation of Allah Ta'ala, and Allah Ta'ala will have mercy upon you. Continue to forgive the faults of the servants, deal with them with mercy and kindness, and the same will be done with you.
