628 - وأنا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ التُّجِيبِيُّ، أنا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ النَّاصِحُ، نا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جُمُعَةَ، نا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، نا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُقْبَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ , عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «سَدِّدُوا وَقَارِبُوا، وَأَبْشِرُوا» مُخْتَصَرٌ
Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Adopt moderation, remain upright, and give glad tidings." This hadith is concise.

The meaning is that you should adopt the path of moderation and balance in religion, and avoid excess and negligence, because if you adopt excess or negligence, you will not even reach your intended destination. Therefore, as much as possible, remain on the path of moderation. If you cannot follow it completely, then at least strive to stay as close to it as possible. That is, in every situation, keep the Prophetic way (Sunnah) before you; if you adopt this, you will attain success. Do not look here and there, otherwise by falling into innovations (bid‘ah) and superstitions, you will end up losing even the obligatory acts (fara’id).
