الشَّبَابُ شُعْبَةٌ مِنَ الْجُنُونِ، وَالنِّسَاءُ حَبَائِلُ الشَّيْطَانِ، وَالْخَمْرُ جِمَاعُ الْإِثْمِ، وَالْغُلُولُ مِنْ جَمْرِ جَهَنَّمَ، وَالنِّيَاحَةُ مِنْ عَمَلِ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ، وَالسَّعِيدُ مَنْ وُعِظَ بِغَيْرِهِ، وَالشَّقِيُّ مَنْ شَقِيِّ فِي بَطْنِ أُمِّهِYouth is a branch of madness, women are snares of Satan, wine is the root of all sin, embezzlement is from the coals of Hell, wailing is from the practices of ignorance, the happy one is he who learns from others, and the wretched is he who is wretched in his mother's womb

55 - أَخْبَرَنَا الْقَاضِي أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ الْكَرِيمِ بْنُ الْمُنْتَصِرِ الْفَقِيهُ، ثنا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْبُخَارِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزْدَادَ، ثنا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْعَسْكَرِيُّ، ثنا الزُّبَيْرُ بْنُ بَكَّارٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ نَافِعٍ الصَّائِغُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُصْعَبِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْجُهَنِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ زَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ قَالَ: تَلَقَّفْتُ هَذِهِ الْخُطْبَةُ مِنْ فِي رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِتَبُوكَ سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ، وَذَكَرَ ذَلِكَ فِي خُطْبَةٍ طَوِيلَةٍ
Sayyiduna Zayd bin Khalid (may Allah be pleased with him) says that I heard this sermon from the mouth of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in Tabuk. I heard him say this, and in his lengthy sermon, he also mentioned this (aforementioned) matter... and he narrated this hadith.

Hafiz Dhahabi rahimahullah said: "Abdullah bin Mus'ab has narrated a rejected (munkar) sermon with the chain 'an abihi 'an jaddihi', and there is also ignorance (jahalah) in them." See: (Mizan al-I'tidal: 2/506 — al-Silsilah al-Da'ifah: 2464)
