Brief Explanation
Benefit: - Sayyiduna Sahl radi Allahu anhu narrates that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said on the day of the Battle of Khaybar: “Tomorrow I will give the Islamic banner into the hand of such a person at whose hand Allah will grant Islamic victory, who loves Allah and His Messenger, and whom Allah and His Messenger also love.” Throughout the night, the Companions radi Allahu anhum kept thinking about who would receive the banner. When morning came, every person hoped for it, but the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said: “Where is Ali?” It was submitted that his eyes are sore. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam applied his blessed saliva to his eyes, and he was cured, and no kind of pain remained. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam gave him the banner, so he (Ali) submitted: “Should I not fight them until they become like us, i.e., Muslims?” The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam instructed him: “Go forth as you are. When you reach their territory, invite them to Islam and inform them of the obligations upon them. By Allah! If Allah guides even one person through you, it is better for you than red camels.” [بخاري : 3009]
